MXParents.com Forums Rules

MXParents.com Track Rules

Our MXParents.com administrator(s) and volunteer moderators want to provide a friendly, constructive forum for every user. Although we will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this site, it is impossible for us to review everything. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of MXParents.com Forums, nor vBulletin Solutions, Inc. will be held responsible for the content of any message. The following guidelines have been set to maintain a level of acceptable behavior within the site. Please read and follow these few rules so that we may all have an enjoyable experience while in the forums. Individual infractions, when discovered, will be dealt with by the admin and moderators according to the severity of the infraction. The admin reserves the right to ban users temporarily and, in some cases, permanently, from the MXParents.com site.

Do…

  • Familiarize yourself with the forums. If you have a question, it may have been answered in an earlier post.
  • Keep comments polite and constructive. Foul language and harsh criticism is frowned upon, and just isn’t cool. Constructive criticism and advice is always welcome, both on and off the track.
  • Make your posts open to responses, suggestions and others’ input. We like a forum where everyone can pitch in.
  • Report violations / questionable activity to the moderators / admin by clicking “report abuse”.
  • Report spam posts, junk and meaningless posts to that moderator or admin.

Don’t...

  • Harshly criticize others, their opinions, questions or comments. This is a friendly community, and we want to keep it that way.
  • Start a thread regarding an already existing topic. Instead, join the existing conversation.
  • Publish posts that are in ALL CAPS, or have poor or excessive punctuation. Using 20 exclamation points in a sentence is simply too many.
  • Create an offensive or overly large signature for your posts. If you want one, make sure it is no larger than 50 x 300 size.

Violations...

  • Post, distribute or encourage any illegal content, information and / or activity.
  • Harass, insult, threaten or verbally abuse other website members by attacking personal opinions, racial background, religious beliefs, race, sexual orientation or gender, sending unwanted messages or otherwise criticize users in an unproductive manner.
  • Interfering with the forums or users’ ability to participate productively in the forums by filling them with spam and/or inappropriate language or topics.
  • Upload a link or files that contain viruses or other destructive programs.
  • Asking members for passwords. Community members should never release personal information or passwords to anyone, especially through the forums.
  • Posting advertisements or promoting marketing programs, chain letters or other schemes into the forums.

By participating in the forums, you agree to fully accept the responsibility for what you post, to follow these guidelines, and accept that the owners and admins of MXParents.com Forums reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any content item for any reason.

It has been our observation that members may choose to share their own names, electronic mail addresses, telephone numbers, postal addresses, or other personal identifiers within posts on the forum. In such cases, MXP is not responsible for protecting said data, due to the individual member's decision to publish such information in the public forums of the MXP website. MXP does not use or distribute users’ credit card numbers or any other monetary information other than for purposes of member-approved yearly subscriptions and/or items purchased directly from MXP or MXP-affiliated merchants.
